Urban Vibes is Radcliffe Riverside's very own school
production company. Formed
in 2005 Urban Vibes seek to highlight to the world, the amazing work carried
out by our students within the Music Technology & New Media Department.
Urban Vibes holds no copyright over the students work.
At Riverside, there's a wealth of musical and film making talent lurking
behind every classroom door (and lots of other places too!). All students
are given the chance to develop this talent by taking part in Urban Vibes
productions and associated projects. Students are given training both in
school, and through extra curricular activities. Under the leadership of
the Music Technology & New Media department, students are able to shoot
their own short films, write the script, direct the proceedings, edit the
footage, produce their own music - we could go on ... suffice to say we
create all projects inhouse, from concept to finished product.
Please keep a check on this area where we'll be showcasing the best talent
Radcliffe Riverside has to offer.
Urban Vibes collect a Gong at TCSC Video Awards

It was time for the TCSC annual media awards again and with an impressive gong from last year, the RRS media team could have been forgiven for thinking they were in with a chance.
An impressive number of entries were vying for the top awards – 76 entries in total were submitted from across the Bury Borough.
Alicia was first to score with a fantastic third placed prize for her commendable Jeans 4Genes video. The video was a classic account of RRS Jeans 4 Genes day and was viewed nearly 550 times on the school website and it's still available here
Next up was Oliver and Ben who knocked Woodhey out to claim the evenings top prize for their classic black and white movie ‘Betrayal'
Finally, to top the lot, Radcliffe Riverside School were awarded a Sooper Doopertastic gong for the most talented and professional entry ever to grace the TCSC – once again for ‘Betrayal'.
In a nutshell – the whole team came home with so many prizes the police thought they had broken into Dixons.
What more can we say? Well done to all – many thanks to you all – and we're sorry to see you three go :o(
Anyone else who feels a healthy dose of the ‘Steven McSpielbergs' coming on should get down to see Miss Jones as there are a limited number of places left on next years media team.

A fantastic photo competition produced some fine entries. Not easy picking the award winners but it had to be done.
The winners were Hannah Cardoza (people category), Thomas Taylor (Animals), Zoe Bonney (Local Community), Patrick Kay (Land and Buildings), and Lauren Hibbert (Nature) - Lauren is not pictured above. Well done to them - and everyone else who took part - the standard was excellent

Police were called in after a small volcano was discovered at Radcliffe Riverside. Turns out it was the geography dept. giving a quick demonstration. Click here to check out the footage!
