Dear Parent/Carer

As you are aware, Bury Council is currently carrying out a consultation process regarding our new school. They are asking for the views of interested groups and individuals on a range of options to address the possibility of surplus accommodation in the new building. I would like to take this opportunity to stress that the Council has stated on many occasions that it is 100% committed to building the new school and this consultation has been necessitated because of falling rolls and surplus places in all Bury schools.

Members of the Radcliffe Riverside Parents’ Forum have been speaking to as many people as possible to seek their views and opinions and using these have compiled a response to the consultation document. However, it is very important that the Council receives as many responses as possible from you as individuals so that there can be no doubt about your expectations as parents. excl.gif

You should have already received a copy of the consultation document but if not you can acess the download link by clicking here - or you can collect a copy from either of the school offices. The deadline for views and comments is Friday 16 November so time is fast running out.

Obviously you can write your own response or alternatively if you agree with the Parents’ Forum document and wish to use this as your response you can sign in the space provided to indicate your support and then forward it to the School Organisation Team either by post to :

School Organisation Team, Children’s Services Department, Athenaeum House, Market Street, Bury, BL9 OBN

or by e-mail to schoolorganisation@bury.gov.uk

or you can return it back to the school office and we will send it to them on your behalf.

A copy of the Parents’ Forum document is available below for you to print out and sign - just click on either the pdf or the Word version to download:

If you need any further information please do not hesitate to contact me at school.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely
