Year 8 Rugby Team had their tournament at Leverhulme Park in Bolton. Unfortunately not all the schools turned up so we had two games against Parrenthorn as they had brought two teams. We think the rest of the absent teams were running scared of RRS and who could blame them!
The boys who did play put in 100% effort to make the school proud of them. They
were - Y8 -
Sam Worthington
Ryan McLaren
Phil Thomas
Josh Lockett
Hamad Rabbi
Nathan Kirkman - and from Y7 - Billy O'Brien
Jordan Jackson
Liam Walmsley
Well done boys. Good effort! Click

Pictured above, RRS Teacher Miss Bateman puts in a stellar performance at the recent Radcliffe 10K run. Miss Bateman wasn't the only teacher to take part either. A fine turnout from RRS ensured the school was well represented on what wasn't the sunniest of days we've seen this year. Well done also to Mr Maironis, Mr Errington, Mr Coldwell and Mr Rothwell. For more pics from the day, check out our Special Events online gallery by clicking here.
Pictured above is a fantastic submission from Year 11 student Jaymin Patel for GCSE Resistant Materials coursework. The standard of work from all students was extremely high again this year and all of our students can feel proud of their achievements. There are photos of all submitted work in our departmental gallery. WELL DONE ALL!.

Year 7 Riverside soldier Curtis stands ready and waiting to defend Radcliffe Riverside against something (just not quite sure what it is yet!). That's a homemade marshmallow launcher in his hand by the way - and according to Mr R - Curtis can hit the back wall with it - all in the name of science you understand!

Year 10 annual Enterprise Day was as successful as ever this year thanks
to the hard work of our committed staff. Pictured above are Faisal Ali, Tom
Mellor and Andrew Molyneux.
Indoors the senior consultant Rachel Tunnard of ‘Select Education’ and her team
Fay, Ronnie and John inspired our year 10’s with a mixture of personal development
and problem solving activities. Our thanks to all involved here.
Led by Sgt Jones and his team L/Cpl Hamilton, Cpl Skene, Cpl Carter, Fus Jackson,
Fus Hammerton, and Spr Hatch; they did a superb job and kept our yr 10’s muddy
and motivated throughout the day. The activities were thoroughly enjoyed by all
and proof of this was captured on camera yet again! Many thanks to them all -
and Miss Jones for the pics!

OK - so it's not a real farmer! - It's Y11 student Josh Lea in paintball wars at Radcliffe Riverside
and once again - the Rothwell team are claiming victory although this could
be disputed. Maybe it was the Bateman contingent? - Who knows!
